About John Murphy Millworks

We are a full service architectural woodworking shop established by John and Rose Murphy in 1986. From our 18,000 sq. ft. facility located in Erie, Colorado, we design and manufacture millwork and cabinetry for commercial and residential projects located throughout Colorado and Wyoming. A 2009 article in Wood and Wood Products magazine ranked John Murphy Millworks as the 37th fastest growing woodworking company in the nation. We employ a total of 20 people in our factory and front office with a sales volume of $3.7 million in 2010.

Commercial Casework & Millwork

On the commercial side, we specialize in institutional casework, trim and matching paneling, as well as unique one-off pieces and curved casework. Our engineering department and state-of-the-art equipment allow us to do just about anything that is thrown our way. Our projects include schools, hospitals, governmental offices, court houses, restaurants, hotels, and high-end tenant finish. The key to our success is the sophisticated systems that integrate our equipment into our production processes, giving us the edge over our competitors in meeting time critical deadlines.

Residential Custom Cabinetry

Over the years we have developed a loyal residential client base consisting of custom home builders and homeowners driven largely by referrals from former clients. We create truly custom cabinetry in any style, size, wood species, and finish, turning your vision and dreams for your home into a reality. In 2009 we added an NKBA certified interior designer to our staff, allowing us to offer full design services to our residential customers.
